My 1st Unity Game

Hello.

And welcome to my first "devlog" post, I guess.

Mother Earth is the very first Unity game that I've both started AND completed.

I've already released this game about a week ago as of writing this post. I was mostly doing other important things at the time, and couldn't really work much on the game's official page. So I apologize for that.

The basic mechanics of Mother Earth is that you play as a satellite, controlled by your mouse cursor. And to launch projectiles, you need to press the Left Mouse Button (LMB).

Obstacles will spawn periodically over time going towards the Earth, and you have to destroy them. Doing so will grant you XP, which can increase your satellite's stats every time you level up. But sometimes, the obstacle stats can also increase.

This game was mostly made to test my skills in game development. And honestly, I've learned a lot from it. In fact, I've started to appreciate indie game developers more after working on this. And I've also developed a newfound interest in video games as well, which I never thought I would.

To this day, I'm still learning more about game development (particularly in Unity), and trying to apply most of my knowledge into sample projects. This way, I won't have much problems when actually creating another game.

Well, I guess that's it for this post. Thank you having the time to read this, and play my first simple Unity game. God bless.
